A Community Project
AGA also is committed to working in partnership with rural African communities, assisting people in their efforts to improve their own lives. By working together with communities that take the initiative to try to resolve problems and pool their limited resources, long-term, sustainable improvements are achieved.
Due to lack of equipment and financial resources, farmers in the West and Littoral region in Cameroon have the habit to use fire to clean their fields. That makes weeding easier and less expensive; However, that method of removing grass is very damaging to the soil and the environment in general. The “Organic Dried Fruit” project will allow AGA to train farmers on safer and environment friendly method of farming.
OFA project is organizing farmers into teams on order to provide them technical assistance to produce organic fruits according to international standards. AGA will repurchase the fruits to be processed and packaged in a drying unit using solar energy. The packaged dried fruit will then be sent to international markets as “organic Snacks” We already have a commercial contract with a distributor in the USA.
